Salon international d'art contemporain, Luxembourg | 18. – 20.09.2020
Vom 18. bis zum 20. September 2020 fand in Luxemburg die internationale Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst statt. Dort wurden drei neue, speziell für diesen Anlass gefertigte, Acrylglasbilder von Christina Schels / colour of the day® ausgestellt, vertreten durch die VAN GOGH Art Gallery, Madrid.
Die „Luxembourg Art Fair“ feiert im Jahr 2020, nach dem Erfolg der vorherigen Ausstellungen, ihre 3. Auflage. Das Messe-Komitee hat 80 Aussteller aus der ganzen Welt ausgewählt, die ca. 3.000 Gemälde, Skulpturen, Fotografien und Keramiken ausstellen, von aufstrebenden bis zu etablierten Künstlern.
Im Jahr 2019 verzeichnete die „Luxembourg Art Fair“ mehr als 20.000 Besucher und mehr als 1.000 Verkäufe.
Die auf der Messe ausgestellten Kunstwerke von colour of the day® ergänzen sich zu einem Triptychon, das in der Reihenfolge 01 bis 03 die emotionale Entwicklung der Künstlerin während der Corona Krise symbolisiert. Alle Bilder sind streng limitiert auf jeweils ein Stück.

The picture symbolizes the first shock about the Coronavirus and the following lockdown. The colors red and pink stand for energy and the will to master the crisis, but also the reds are printed in very thin lines which feels like cutting and hurting your skin as well as your soul. White stands for the feeling of emptiness, but also for hope and a brighter future. And for anybody who is willing to look a bit closer: there is also a calming blue line. It is the color of the horizon and gives hope that times will change again positively.

This picture is full of energy. After accepting the new way of everyday life during the lockdown there are, all over sudden, loads of energy and the will to change the future. From further away the picture makes a mainly monochrome impression, but by coming closer, you can see different shades within the color scheme. It is like in real life: Things are not as simple as some people may think. There are always many more shades to life than a superficial point of view may understand. And again, for the ones coming closer: there is the blue line! This time right in the center, a little break before diving deep into the energizing tones again.

Now the blue tones are allowed to expand! Take a deep breath and find your inner peace! The color blue is very calming, but it does not mean to become idle, because it is combined with some energizing reds. The rhythm of the stripes on the one hand gives energy back to the observer, on the other hand the way the stripes are positioned is a bit restless and there are dark gray stripes, too. Both – the positioning of the stripes and the color dark-grey – are symbolizing the insecurity about what the future might bring. But – if you read the picture from left to right – it ends with a bright blue color, symbolizing hope and inner peace.
Die Messe
Luxemburg liegt im Herzen Westeuropas zwischen Paris, Straßburg, Frankfurt, Brüssel und Lille. Die „Luxembourg Art Fair“ findet in der „Luxexpo The Box“ statt, einem Ort zur Förderung und Ausrichtung von Fachmessen und Ausstellungen, Seminaren und Konferenzen. Es befindet sich im Zentrum „Kirchberg“ zusammen mit den europäischen Institutionen für Finanzen und Wirtschaft im Bezirk Luxemburg. Die Hauptstädte und europäischen Städte der Großregion haben einfachen Zugang zum Center. Perfekte Voraussetzungen, um die Messe für zeitgenössische Kunst zu beherbergen.
Die gezeigten colour of the day® Kunstwerke können direkt bei der VAN GOGH Art Gallery erworben werden. Jedes Kunstwerk wird mit einem Echtheitszertifikat geliefert.
